Sona is an AI-powered care companion designed for participants enrolled in PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) programs. Sona enables you to have conversations with an AI companion, and information from those conversations may be processed and made available to your PACE care team to support your care.
The Service is available only to individuals who are enrolled in a participating PACE organization, have been registered by their PACE care team, and have completed the in-app onboarding and required app consents. If you are unable to complete onboarding independently, your authorized legal representative may do so on your behalf.
Sona is an AI companion. Sona is not a doctor, nurse, therapist, or licensed healthcare professional.
Sona does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe or recommend medications or treatments, provide clinical advice or medical opinions, or make clinical decisions about your care.
Information from your conversations with Sona may be processed and made available to your care team. However, Aisona does not guarantee real-time review, monitoring, escalation, or response by your care team. You should not rely on Sona for medical decisions or emergency intervention.
In a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
Sona is not a continuous monitoring, dispatch, or life-safety service. The app includes an SOS button that attempts to connect you to your PACE clinic's on-call staff, but Aisona does not guarantee successful connection, response, or dispatch. This is not a substitute for emergency medical services.
You assume all risk associated with reliance on information provided by the Service.
Your PACE care team registers your account. You complete onboarding by verifying your identity, providing consent, and setting up biometric authentication (Face ID). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account.
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, attempt to access other participants' data, interfere with service operation, reverse-engineer the Service, or misrepresent your identity.
All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, AI models, algorithms, designs, and documentation, are the exclusive property of Aisona Care Inc. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service. You retain ownership of your own spoken words; by using the Service, you grant Aisona a limited license to process your conversation content solely as described in the Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. AISONA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. AISONA DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT, HEALTH SIGNAL DETECTION, OR INFORMATION PROCESSING.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AISONA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. AISONA'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR (B) THE AMOUNTS, IF ANY, PAID BY YOU TO AISONA FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS SHALL LIMIT LIABILITY FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT.
We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, your PACE enrollment ends, your PACE organization terminates its agreement with Aisona, or as required by law.
Upon termination, information will be retained, made available, corrected, or deleted only as permitted or required by applicable law, our Privacy Policy, and our obligations to participating PACE organizations. Requests relating to protected health information should be directed to your PACE organization or care team.
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, third-party service provider outages, internet disruptions, or power failures.
Information collected through your use of Sona may constitute medical information under the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA, Civil Code §§56-56.37) to the extent provided by applicable law. We collect, use, and share your medical information as permitted by applicable law, our agreements with participating PACE organizations, and, where required, your authorization. For questions about your CMIA or HIPAA rights, contact your PACE care team or email support@aisona.ai.
These Terms are governed by Delaware law, except that California law applies to the extent required for California residents' statutory rights under the CCPA/CPRA, CMIA, and other California consumer protection laws. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, in accordance with AAA rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.
If you are unable to participate in arbitration due to health or accessibility reasons, contact us to request an alternative dispute resolution process.
